Too many puppies with guns in their hands.

Too many puppies in foreign lands.

Are dressed up sharp in suits of green and

Placed upon the war machine.

Too many puppies are just like me.

Too many puppies are afraid to see.

The visions of the past brought to life again,

Too many puppies, too many dead men.

Katherine bought a ton of food for an office and decided that she had too much. She was going to be in the Redmond area so she decided to come by and let me give it out at work. I decided, why not make a little experiment out of this... I present you a dissertation, Analysis of Dietary Inclination of Employees of a Multi-Billion Dollar Multi-National Corporation. Kat and I put out all of the snacks and then I decided to take pictures at basically random times until it was all gone.

The snacks in this study include chocolate chip cookies, frosted sugar cookies, Reece's cups, chocolate balls and yogurt-covered prezels. Here are the visual facts:

2:13 PM

2:20 PM

2:25 PM

2:44 PM

3:07 PM

3:32 PM

4:15 PM

4:48 PM

4:58 PM

6:14 PM

As you can see, the ranking of these five snacks is as follows:

  1. Chocolate chip cookies
  2. Frosted sugar cookies
  3. Reese's cups
  4. Chocolate balls
  5. Yogurt prezels

Another conclusion is that Microsofties like junk food. The end.

Ok, let's see if Blogger decides to eat this post as well! Anyway, I've been taking pictures with my phone for the past couple of months but I've only found a few gems.

Here is the dorkiest man I've ever seen. Yes, that is a man.

Ok, chrome wheel covers are fine, mostly because a lot of people have them. This takes the cake. Those are fake drilled rotors!

That man and those covers belong on the Lamers bus.

At the Evergreen Fair, Kat and I saw some interesting booths:

Damnit, Blogger! Why did you just eat that post on which I spent 10 minutes typing?

Well, I've made it back from Michigan in one piece! Sleeping about four hours a night on average for five days caught up to me as I went to bed at 9:30 PM last night and slept for about eleven hours.

The bachelors party went fairly well... only five people could make it to dinner and six made it to play pool afterwards. It was hard for me to coordinate with people I don't know that are all across the country. Dinner was good, though a bit expensive at $277 for five people. Pool was fun and we got Chris to have at least one drink, a redheaded slut. We wanted him to have a dirty girl scout next to keep the weak-drinks-named-after-unscrupulous-females theme going but one and he was done. Our waitress wanted us to go to a strip club so that we would be having some fun for a bachelors party. Oddly enough, the cashier at lunch and the waitress at the pool hall were both from my area in Washington.

The night before the wedding was filled with lots of last minute preparations. Collin and Libby helped finalize the CD selections while I wrote out all of the table name cards until about 1 AM. Lindsay was so tired that she went to bed while we were all finishing up. I think getting 90% of everything done the day before is a better idea than leaving anything for the actual wedding day.

Chris was nervous on the wedding day which I thought was pretty cute. I was nervous as well simply because, as the best man, it was my job to smooth over anything that went wrong. Additionally, I had not finished writing my toast for that evening! The ceremony went off without a hitch though it did take about 45 seconds for the unity candle to fire up. I practiced my speech between the wedding and the reception and then I was told that I had to MC the entire reception. All that entailed was introducing the members of the wedding party, no big deal.

The reception was fairly fun once dinner was out of the way. Around 9:30 PM, Iren and I walked over to Rebecca's, which was roughly 100 feet from the restaurant that held the reception. Rebecca was working there so we talked for a little while. While talking, Rebecca asked if I remembered Cheryl who worked there five years ago when I was there. I said I did and then Cheryl appeared! She has been working there off and on for seven years. She works there now for extra money since she has a real job as a flight attendant. Turns out that Iren and Rebecca knew each other in high school so they chatted for a bit.

After the reception, a few of us walked over to Poole's for a drink. At first it was just Iren, Casey, Eric, Tina, her boyfriend Chris and myself but Collin, Libby and Marty showed up about 45 minutes later. We had a pretty good time and I got fairly drunk, as the pictures will show.

Haha, it looks like one of my ex-girlfriends is getting married to the guy she dumped me for.... on my 25th birthday! I don't have all of the details, but it will be somewhere around August 4th, 2005. I just hope that was done on purpose.

Okay, okay, I know that the Boxster is just the poor man's Carrera, but the new Boxster looks pretty nice... and there is a coupe version coming! The Boxster didn't even register on my radar until I saw this picture:

To me, that is just pure sex. The rear looks better than a Carrera! Here is a gallery of all the spy shots and concept pictures.

For our one year anniversary, Kat bought me a 12x DVD+RW/DVD-RW! I'm currently burning all of my available MP3s (about 8.6 GB) onto two DVD-Rs right now! No more excuses for not having a good backup of my data! Of course, after I burn the ever-important MP3s, I will burn the ever-important stash of car videos. I do believe I have a couple of gigs of those, mostly Top Gear episodes. After that, I'll burn some other videos (not porn, damnit) and then maybe my documents.

I am still amazed whenever I use my Bluetooth on my phone to connect my laptop to the internet. Well done, Windows Mobile, the Bluetooth consortium and the Windows XP SP2 team!

It looks like Ford's WRC '05 season is completely shot now:

Peugeot Signs Markko Martin

Written by: RACER staff London, UK – 9/9/2004

Markko Martin has signed to drive for Peugeot in next year’s World Rally Championship, Autosport reports. While no official announcement has been made by the French team or Martin, it is believed that a deal has been agreed that will give the current leader of the Ford works rally team joint No. 1 status with Peugeot’s current team leader, Marcus Gronholm.

Ford was widely expected to lose its top driver due to an expected cut in its WRC budget, if not outright closure of the team, for 2005. Martin had also been in discussions with the works teams of Citroen and Subaru.

This, tied with the fact that Ford did not renew Duval's contract, probably means there will be no Ford WRC next season! Sigh.

Just because I went through all of the calculations and I don't want to lose this, here are the theoretical top speeds for the '04 SVT Focus (with the stock 6 speed with dual final drives and 215/45-17 tires).

Kat's townhome (where I'm currently living) is being repaired. When it was originally built, certain waterproofing steps were either skipped or half-completed. Each of the buildings in her unit is having all of the siding removed, all of the sealant underneath replaced and all of the windows resealed. Because of this, there are ditches being dug, low-paid workers ambling around, fork-lifts in the fire lane, etc. Up until last night, it hasn't been a problem. Sometime yesterday afternoon, the construction workers decided that the best place for 10 crates of their supplies was about 5 feet behind Kat's driveway!

When I got home yesterday, I noticed it in annoyance and then didn't think about it while I got ready for my doubleheader hockey game. As I was frantically getting ready (trying to remember extra water and snacks for my team, I'm such a good captain), I completely forgot about the crates. I backed right into them!

My rear bumper now has a good gouge in two place, one of which is about as big as a golf ball. There is a bit of hexagonal mesh below the bumber and that is scraped as well. I'm not sure if I want to get it fixed just yet.
